Position Summary
Michigan State University (MSU) seeks to hire within the nuclear theory department at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). Applicants should have a strong publication record and experience with high-performance computing and nuclear many-body theory or nonperturbative quantum field theories. The candidate will develop nuclear lattice effective field theory codes and perform simulations relevant to the FRIB science program. Other research activities depend on the interests of the candidate. The candidate is expected to maintain an active and impactful research program and contribute to a positive work environment at FRIB. The appointment will be for three years with the possibility of renewal.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Nuclear Theory or related
Minimum Requirements
1. Ph.D. in nuclear theory or related field
2. At least two years research experience in high-performance computing
3. At least two years research experience in nuclear many-body theory or nonperturbative quantum field theories
Desired Qualifications
+ Ability to develop and run nuclear lattice effective field theory codes
