We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases (CVM) department. You will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of disease mechanisms and supporting early drug discovery. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research while growing within a collaborative, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The opporunityConduct molecular biology techniques such as RNA isolation, qPCR, and protein quantification for mechanistic and functional studies.
Perform in vitro assays, including Seahorse metabolic flux analysis, to evaluate mitochondrial respiration, glycolysis, and cellular bioenergetics.
Isolate and culture adipocytes from human and animal tissues, optimizing protocols for primary cell isolation and maintenance.
Execute fat and lipid analysis measurements, including lipid profiling, fluorescent lipid staining (e.g., BODIPY), and cholesterol quantification.
Perform advanced cellular and biochemical techniques, such as flow cytometry for glucose uptake, immunocytochemistry, and ELISA for biomarker quantification.
Analyze experimental data with statistical tools, preparing high-quality reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.

Requirements:
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field, or have completed vocational training in biology. A minimum of 3 years in a research laboratory setting is required.
You are proficient in cell culture, molecular biology, and biochemical techniques and are familiar with metabolic and cardiovascular disease models
You have strong organizational skills, allowing you to multitask and prioritize effectively in dynamic environments, while thriving in agile matrix teams and contributing to shared goals.
You communicate effectively in English, both in writing and orally
