Job Summary

Assist in installing and maintaining instrument components. Additionally, assist in developing and troubleshooting methods for the analysis of PCBs in water, soil, and animal samples.

Responsibilities*Supporting instrument repairs and updatesPreparing standards, running standards via method development, and data analysisSupporting sample preparation method development and validating new methodsRequired Qualifications*Must be a current of University of Michigan-Flint undergraduate student in good academic standing or recently graduated from a UM-Flint undergraduate program and not currently enrolled in a graduate programMust have completed CHM 366/367 Analytical Chemistry with labDesired Qualifications*Good working knowledge of GC-MS instrumentation.  Experience in research is preferred.Work Schedule

This position is for the Winter 2025 term at about five hours per week.

Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence.  Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
