We offer a 6 months biology internship based at our Research and Development center in Stein for a highly motivated student currently enrolled in a third year Bachelor’s program or Master’s program in molecular biology with knowledge in bioinformatics who can bring scientific excellence and is excited by solving practical problems in biology. It offers a great opportunity for practical training of cutting-edge molecular techniques, bioinformatics and data analysis.
During this internship you will have the opportunity to:
Develop, optimize and/or automate molecular assays to detect expression of plant biomarkers by RT-qPCRDesign and automate data analysis workflows for gene expression data and a data visualization boardApply and improve problem-solving skills in biology experimentationAssist with the implementation of innovative laboratory techniquesNurture your talent so you can grow and succeedCompany Description

Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated student with a strong academic background and excellent communication skills who is currently enrolled in a third year Bachelor’s program or Master’s program in molecular biology with knowledge in bioinformaticsPreference will be given to candidates with some lab experience in molecular biologyAdditionally, experience with data analysis and bioinformatics (primer design, sequence analysis, knowledge of either Python or R) is considered an assetA valid residence and work permit for Switzerland, or eligibility to obtain such under an international treaty (e.g., EU bilateral treaty), is requiredFluent in English written and spoken
