About the Role

The Research Business Analyst (RBA) supports sustained revenue growth through renewal analysis and strategic negotiation preparation.  This position reports to the Regional Sales Director, Research Sales, and works closely with the sales team to provide overall business support for renewal negotiations.  This individual will also provide sales with analysis and strategic advice to support negotiations with a focus on closing renewals, identifying risk, and maximizing opportunities for growth in the account

Responsibilities

Provide analysis and strategic advice to the sales team for renewal negotiations

Prepare and drive negotiation materials

Collaborate with the Customer Success Manager to incorporate customer insights

Conduct data analysis to support Open Access (OA) renewals

Identify risks and opportunities for growth

Ensure renewals are completed on time and within budget

Requirements

Have strong data analysis and advanced Excel skills

Possess excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Experience performing data analysis and providing actionable insights

Have solid understanding of the sales process, understanding negotiation strategies and tactics

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to produce executive-level presentations

Have knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau reporting

Work well across a matrixed organization

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for New Jersey:$77,800.00 - $129,600.00

This is a sales job which may be eligible for a sales incentive or commission plan.
