What we want
The Research Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance in research compliance, including export controls, research security, visiting scholar reviews, foreign person employee reviews, and program coordination.

Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Three years of research administration, export control, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in a regulatory affairs compliance, research administration/compliance, or export control related area.
+ Law degree or legal experience; EAR and/or ITAR certifications.
+ Working knowledge of export control regulations, research compliance, federal grant and contract regulations and practical application of current research administration issues.
+ Working knowledge of electronic systems used in facilitating export control compliance (i.e. Visual Compliance, SNAP-R, Maestro, AggieBuy, Maestro, Concur, Dimensions, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a large volume of work under pressure with competing needs.
+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with strong commitment to customer service.
+ Ability to carry out tasks independently.
+ Working knowledge of Federal and University regulations pertaining to financial conflicts of interest, and/or experience in sponsored research administration or education.
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
+ Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
+ Must be detail oriented
Essential Duties/Tasks:
Export Control -
+ Assists the director with the review of visiting scholar requests to ensure compliance with federal, state, and University policies, rules, SAPs, and guidelines.
+ Log, track, and follow-up on all new foreign person employee requests.
+ Maintain all employee spreadsheets and metrics data.
+ Responsible for file setup and monitoring.
+ Conduct applicable restricted party screenings.
+ Monitors document submissions, reports, and notices for quality control, and maintains records.
+ Communicates with and provides timely responses related to employment reviews, including issues.
Visiting Scholars -
+ Assists the director with the review of visiting scholar requests to ensure compliance with federal, state, and University policies, rules, SAPs, and guidelines.
+ Monitor Visiting Scholar email box.
+ Log, track, and follow-up on all Visiting Scholar requests.
+ Maintain all visiting scholar spreadsheets and metrics data.
+ Responsible for file setup and monitoring.
+ Conduct applicable restricted party screenings.
+ Monitors document submissions, reports, and notices for quality control, and maintains records.
+ Communicates with and provides timely responses related to Visiting Scholar reviews, including issues.
+ Creates and assigned UIN and Net ID to Visiting Scholars.
+ Monitors access and termination of visitor Net ID accounts.
+ Assign, monitor and track required visiting scholar trainings.
Program Coordination
+ Assists with the coordinating the development, modification and implementation of policies and procedures relating to all applicable program areas.
+ Reviews and updates SOPs. Maintains updated list of SOPs.
+ Coordinates with existing program staff to maintain electronic ensuring all are up-to-date and complete.
+ Assists staff in the development of training materials.
+ Assists in updating and maintaining online training resources and other materials and program websites.
+ Serves as a liaison between the programs and the research community as appropriate.
+ Consults and advises faculty, staff, and students in the preparation of required documents based on knowledge of guidelines, rules and Federal regulations.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
