**REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:**
Bachelors Degree or equivalent Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Experience with statistical analysis, performance and reporting of research studies,
and interaction with patients and health care providers is desirable.
**JOB SUMMARY:**
The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an energetic Clinical Research Coordinator in a fulltime position to work with our team of operating room anesthesiologists and intensivists. Projects
will be related to perioperative outcomes, particularly in the field of postoperative pulmonary
complications. The Department of Anesthesiology at UTMB is committed to innovation and

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
Assist in the coordination and monitoring of all research activities.
Performs data analysis and data management for manuscript and report of research
findings.
Prepares report summaries, protocols, and conducts qualitative and quantitative
analyses, data analysis and data administration.
May assist the Principal Investigator with grant proposal preparation and submission.
May prepare IRB documents under the direction of the Principal Investigator and assists
with answering IRB stipulations to obtain final approval.
Documents IRB and contract approval.
Maintains and monitors source documentation for publications and sponsor
requirements.
Supports and assists with research collaborators and visitors on various studies and
projects.
May participate in manuscript writing.
Participates in the presentation of research findings.
Attends and participates in investigator meetings and workshops.
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
**MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:**
Performs related duties as required.

Standard office equipment.
**WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:**
Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or office environments.

**Salary Range:**
Commensurate with experience.
