Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator - Cardiology - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate assist the Clinical Manager with research related activities within the designated departments. Work on both pharmaceutical sponsored research and investigator initiated projects. Assist the clinical manager or research coordinator with regulatory and clinical aspects of research.

Job Responsibilities:

Supports the clinical manager with promotion of educational opportunities within and outside of the institution to increase public awareness of the pediatric clinical research program. Assists the clinical manager with staff in-services prior to implementation of new research trials - and in the event of research trial updates.Complies with hospital departmental-wide safety policies and procedures and regulatory requirements with The Joint Commission, IRB, FDA and study sponsors.Maintains appropriate certifications i.e. Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP.Performs other duties as assignedAssist clinical manager or study coordinator - study start up activities, pre-site visits, subject recruitment and retention, assists in the informed consent process and gathering, recording and analyzing data. Assists with documents for investigational study selection and project negotiation, including initial site sponsor correspondence.Assist clinical manager or study coordinator with regulatory documentation associated with the clinical trials including but not limited to Institutional Review Board (IRB) communications, IRB submissions, protocol and consent assent approvals, addendums, amendments/modifications, adverse events, annual study update.Assist clinical manager or study coordinator with patient screening, recruitment, consent process and enrollment for ongoing clinical research projects, including all follow up management visits and case report form completion. Under the guidance of the clinical manager or coordinator, may assist with source or CRF document completion or EDC (electronic data capture) entry. Interact with study patients during study visits or via telephone calls. May correspond with patients via written communication i.e. letters emails text messages. Assists the clinical manager with upholding the NYU Winthrop Hospital research mission of maintaining compliance through GCP, ICH, FDA and IRB regulations and guidelines.Work collaboratively with the clinical manager and a multidisciplinary team to safely conduct pediatric clinical research and enhance education of patients, family members, and significant others.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree In a related field. Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) - or -  required within 1 (one) month of employment. 1-2 years of experience in the related area (ex. Pediatrics or Perinatal). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint). Database management and informatics.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Clinical Research Coordination. 1-2 years In a research environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational, attention to detail. Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels. Dependable, self-directed and willing to take direction and initiative. Strong ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and strict adherence to task requirements.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $77,258.68 - $81,894.20 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
