Research Coordinator - Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy
The Research Coordinator at the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy plays a key role in advancing the Center’s research initiatives. This position involves identifying and applying for research grants, overseeing the execution of ongoing projects, maintaining the Nordoff-Robbins archive, and managing research assistants and volunteers. The Research Coordinator supports the publication and dissemination of research findings, helps envision new research projects that align with the Center’s mission, and ensures clear communication about research progress with the Managing Director and Faculty Liaison. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about music therapy research. This role is ideal for someone with experience in research coordination, strong project management skills, and a commitment to advancing music therapy research. 8 hours per week (until the end of August 2025) + PhD or PhD candidate in a relevant field (e.g., music therapy, psychology) + Experience in research coordination, project management, or academic research administration. + Strong grant-writing skills and experience identifying funding opportunities. + Demonstrated ability to oversee research projects, manage data collection, and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines. + Experience in supervising research assistants, volunteers, or student researchers. + Strong publication record or experience supporting research dissemination (e.g., journal articles, conference presentations). + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with faculty, clinicians, and administrators. + Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies, data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo, R), and IRB processes. + Passion for music therapy research and an interest in advancing the field through innovative studies. + Knowledge of Nordoff-Robbins music therapy principles and/or experience in music therapy research.
