Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.
This is an opportunity to work as a part-time, hourly Research Data Associate for Dr. Omar El-Shahawys lab working on research studies focusing on e-cigarette interventions for harm reduction in adult smokers. This position will provide assistance to the research team for various aspects of clinical research. In addition, the intern will support preparation reports and other administrative requirements. The intern will also work on data cleaning and analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist coordinators with daily participant related itemsAccompany participants to study related procedures if neededSupport preparation for grant reporting, includes collecting and preparing documents and data entrySchedule and confirm participant visitsOther potential study related activities as neededMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelors degree, preferably in a health related field such as psychology, epidemiology, health science, etc. is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience using REDCap, with institutional review boards (submissions, modifications, regulatory handbook, etc.) and research protocols.
Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiarity with Internet applications. Familiarly with data analysis and programs is a plus (i.e. R, Stata, SPSS) Effective oral, communication, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration. Time management skills and ability to multitask. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems: Ability to work well under pressure.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
