Basic Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or related engineering fieldsTwo or more years of experience with powertrain calibration development and testing, evaluating factors that influence fuel economy, drivability, performance and/or emissions.One plus year of experience with powertrain control systems for hybrid and/or fully electric powertrains

Preferred Qualifications:  

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineeringHand-on experience in calibration development of electrified vehiclesStrong understanding of propulsion systems and interactions between various sub-systemsExperience in using CAN and rapid prototype tools (e.g. Vector tools, DSpace, etc.)Experience with analysis and calibration tools (e.g. Matlab, ATI Vision, etc.)Excellent teamwork and communication skillsSelf-motivated with ability to balance multiple tasks.

We are seeking a talented Propulsion Systems Calibration Engineer to optimize customer focused vehicle attributes across conventional, hybrid, and fully electric platforms.

Responsibilities: 

Calibrate control strategies for state-of-the-art propulsion technologies to optimize key vehicle attributes e.g., range, fuel efficiency, drivability, performance, and emissions.Conduct on-road vehicle testing and dyno-based calibration development for system optimization, including supporting test trips.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, controls, calibration, and instrumentation issues as they arise.Develop test plans to perform design validation testing under critical noise factors to deliver robust system performance.Analyze test results and provide data driven recommendations to improve system performance.Integrate CAE based methods in the calibration development processes to improve DV efficiency.Leverage connected data analytics to optimize the propulsion system efficiency and robustness.Collaborate effectively with interfacing team members from Research and Advanced Engineering and Product Development for technology transfer for series production. production.
