Barbaricum seeks an experienced Research Engineer/Analyst to provide support to Special Operations Command-Africa based in Stuttgart, Germany. This role will integrate as part of a team performing research, analysis and assessments based on open-source data, discrete TSOC data and inputs from various DoD and NATO programs of record to inform Command-level decisions. The assessments that this team produces will provide crucial frameworks for SOCAFRICA’s campaign and strategic plans. Additionally, the team’s products will enable SOCAFRICA to effectively justify resource requirements, and to adapt strategies, plans, and engagement activities achieving their strategic goals and assigned missions with the goal of optimizing the operational effectiveness of U.S., Allies, and partner nation SOF.
Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental analyses and monitoring of threats across Africa and leverage understanding of AFRICOM, partner forces, and adversarial military and Violent Extremist Organization capabilities to provide forecasts of these threats and promote the survivability of Special Operations personnel. Develop research and data collection plans to support assessment methodology. Leverage advanced technologies, tools, and analytic principles to support SOCAF with producing strategic assessments. Prepare, analyze, and visualize large volumes of data to perform descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis. Effectively communicates assessment insights to myriad diverse audiences.
Requirements:
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) At least 4 years of intelligence analysis experience SOF support experience strongly desiredPreferred:
