We are looking for a 3-month intern to contribute to our Social Media & Messaging Platform Safety initiative as part of our threat detection infrastructure. The prospective candidate will assist in researching state-of-the-art monitoring and analysis techniques for social and messaging platforms, help benchmark their performance against known threat patterns, and contribute to improvements that enhance our detection capabilities. The project involves exploring approaches to improve visibility into closed communication ecosystems while maintaining user privacy, and supporting the development of intelligent threat detection algorithms. The intern will participate in efforts focused on early identification of emerging scam techniques, reduction of false positives, and integration with existing security monitoring systems. This work contributes to our broader mission of protecting users from modern digital threats while maintaining operational efficiency in production environments.
This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Brno.
Research and analysis of visibility mechanisms within restricted mobile ecosystems
Development of monitoring frameworks for closed-circle communication channels
Literature review and implementation of state-of-the-art threat detection models
Benchmark development and evaluation of detection approaches
Design and implementation of real-time analysis methodology
Integration with existing security infrastructure
Development of detection service with API endpoints
Documentation and presentation of findings
What you’ll need to be successful in this role:Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go and/or JavaScript
Mobile development experience (iOS/Android) is a plus
Understanding of messaging platform architectures
Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
Knowledge of NLP and pattern recognition concepts
Basic security and privacy knowledge
Experience with cloud services and API development
Ability to work with sensitive content in a responsible manner
Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail
