JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Research Enrollment Analyst, under general supervision, is accountable for enrolling participants in research projects, and developing and working on a self-directed research project that furthers the goals of the Investigators and Research Department.

\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nCoordinates non-therapeutic (i.e. minimal risk, survey, chart review) clinical research protocols with direction from the principal investigator and/or supervisor in compliance with regulatory laws and institutional guidelines. May assist in complex studies with direction but does not have overall responsibility for these studies.\nCommunicates with research participants via phone calls, mail-outs and Internet to maintain the highest level of research participant retention possible.\nMaintains relationships with targeted research communities.\nWorks with Marketing on research advertisements.\nScreens potential research participants by reviewing inclusion and exclusion criteria.\nEnters new research participants in database and updates existing databases. Obtains and maintains consent forms. Documents the informed consent process.\nEnsures compliance with the internal policies and procedures, and standards of JCAHO, federal, state and local governments. Submits documentation to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) autonomously and follows the process to ensure approval.\nAttends research meetings, reads assigned literature, and makes presentations on projects at the request of the Principal Investigator (PI).\nWorks with PIs to initiate research projects. Partners with the PI to establish and implement data collection procedures and protocols and assists with the preparation of documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and submissions required for current research projects. Assists in maintaining regulatory binders.\nAssists research physicians with study proposal development and helps to ensure that appropriate billing and charging mechanisms are in place for research charges.\nAssists research staff to ensure that applicable study supplies are received prior to study initiation and throughout the study period.\nReviews data for completion and quality control, and prepares data for further investigation. Works with biostatistical team as needed to create projects.\n\n

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

\n\nProven written and oral communication skills.\nExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint. Database experience preferred.\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships.\nAbility to manage time reactive projects in order to meet deadlines.\nPhlebotomy skills preferred.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
