Research Fellow
Overview Associate to work on an NIH-funded project that studies the immune response to a bacterial pathogen. Responsibilities + Perform complex experiments in the fields of bacteriology and immunology. Includes work with molecular biology, protein chemistry, immunoassays and live animals (mice, survival surgery). + Provide scientific input to the design of experimental work and interpretation of data. + Guide, train, manage and supervise laboratory research assistants, students, and research fellows. + Self-guidance to learn new methodologies and gain expertise in new scientific areas, as needed. + Supervise and manage purchase orders, equipment, and inventories. + Supervise and manage the onboarding and certification of laboratory staff. + Abide by established lab standards for communication, documentation, organization, and teamwork. Qualifications Education requirement:Minimum: Ph.D. (or other doctorate-level degree) Technical/computer skills: + Excel (proficient); Microsoft office + Specialty software Prior experience: + Five years (or more) of wet laboratory experience Minimum Salary USD $52,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary USD $65,000.00/Yr.
