The Raytheon UK Cyber Research Group (CRG) are looking for an infrastructure engineer to join the team. Potential candidates should have experience working in IT infrastructure managing a network and be keen to learn new skills.

The successful candidate will:

Be responsible for maintaining a small on-premises research networkResearch and implement innovative solutions to problems, such as remote access to hardwareDesign, build and operate infrastructure to support cyber research projects such as test-ranges, malware sandboxes and fuzzingDesign, build and operate infrastructure to support data science projectsGet involved in cyber research projects

Training will be provided to candidates in a variety of cyber research domains such as network traffic analysis, penetration testing and operational cyber.

Required skills/behaviours:

Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating IT networksExperience using Microsoft and Linux operating systemsExperience configuring firewalls, network switches and serversExperience managing virtualisation platforms An interest in cyber securityAbility to work independently and take initiativeA desire to learn and constantly expand your horizonsGood problem solver

Desirable skills:

Basic penetration testing skillsExperience managing Active DirectoryProficiency in scripting languages and infrastructure as codeExperience using AWS or AzureFamiliarity with machine learning tools such as Hadoop
