Research Intern
Fujitsu Research of America (FRA) is inviting applications for a summer internship position in the field of quantum information processing at our Santa Clara office. Depending on the selected candidate’s profile, they will have the opportunity on research topics in quantum algorithms and their applications, quantum error-correcting codes, and/ or classical methods that may have huge impact in quantum computing applications. The successful candidate will be pursuing a graduate program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with a background in quantum computing. Job responsibilities: 1. Novel research contribution in either quantum algorithms, quantum error-correcting codes, and/ or classical techniques such as optimization and ML with applications and impact in the quantum computing stack. 2. Publish the findings in reputed scientific journals, conferences, and/ or workshops. 3. Demonstrate the application of your techniques and how they can be a valuable contributor in our quantum computing stack. 4. Collaborate internally with FRA researchers and assist them in Fujitsu’s hybrid quantum computing platform. Essential requirements: 1. Pursuing Masters’ or PhD program in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. 2. Strong publication record demonstrated by accepted or published research papers in high quality conferences and/ or journals. 3.
