**Research Intern at Fujitsu's Self-Improving ML team (Santa Clara, CA)**
The goal of the Self-Improving ML team at Fujitsu is to create ML algorithms that automatically improve themselves, enabling them to handle a wider range of tasks with improved accuracy while requiring less training data.
**About the role**
We are seeking exceptional PhD students to join the Self-Improving ML team at our office in Silicon Valley. This is an opportunity to pioneer and prototype general-purpose AI algorithms for vision and text that possess the capability to autonomously enhance themselves. This position is suited for those who enjoy exploring profound questions in ML research, excel in roles that encourage ambitious open-ended objectives and are highly motivated to make valuable contributions towards the deployment of general AI systems for a sustainable world.
The internship duration is of 3 months.
**Job responsibilities**
1. Research on topic(s) including but not limited to in-context learning, neural module networks, generalization with few amount of training data and AI applications for building a sustainable world.
2. Publish research papers in scientific journals and conferences. Showcase the work via presentation in talks, conferences and workshops.
**Requirements**
1. Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a relevant research area for self-improving ML.
2. Track record of coming up with new ideas or improving upon existing ideas in machine learning, demonstrated by accomplishments such as publications or projects.
3. Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple researchers. It is essential to feel comfortable in a collaborative environment.
