Research Internships at Microsoft provide a dynamic environment for research careers with a network of world-class research labs led by globally-recognized scientists and engineers, who pursue innovation in a range of scientific and technical disciplines to help solve complex challenges in diverse fields, including computing, healthcare, economics, and the environment.
Microsoft's Health and Life Sciences (HLS) group is driving a healthcare revolution with AI-powered solutions like DAX, Nursing, and Radiology Copilot. These innovations empower healthcare professionals to enhance patient care, improve outcomes, boost productivity, and reduce burnout. Our research platform and tooling team is looking for a Research Intern to streamline and enhance our documentation ecosystem. In this role, you'll organize, standardize, and improve the discoverability of HLS research documentation across various sources, including Azure DevOps Wiki, SharePoint, Loop, and codebase documentation. You'll develop an AI-powered QA assistant, leveraging Copilot Studio or similar Microsoft tools, LLM prompting techniques, and intelligent search strategies to enhance document discovery, knowledge retrieval, and user efficiency. The goal is to reduce cognitive load associated with documentation discovery and enable researchers and engineers to find relevant information more effectively.
