Job Summary

The Department of Cell & Developmental Biology is seeking a full-time Research Laboratory Technician Associate in a lab that studies circadian clocks, sleep and metabolism using Drosophila as a model system.

The candidate will assume responsibility for performing routine lab work and data analysis including Drosophila handling, fluorescence microscopy, live imaging, imaging analysis, high-throughput genome sequencing techniques. 

Additional responsibilities include: recording and analyzing data under the guidance of the PI, Graduate Student or Postdoctoral Fellow. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*Bachelor's degree in biology and 0-1 year of experience is required.Candidates who just finished their undergraduate degree and want to work in a lab for a few years before applying to graduate school are preferred.Desired Qualifications*Experience in Drosophila handling and confocal microscopy is desired, but not required. Modes of Work

Background Screening
