This role focuses on industry research, crafting whitepapers, and further establishing CBRE's expertise in renewable energy and energy markets. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of the energy sector who can work independently, network effectively, and innovate within a dynamic, start-up culture. What You’ll Do: + Develop and author whitepapers, articles, and reports that highlight CBRE's expertise in the renewables and energy sector. + Conduct comprehensive research on industry topics, including regulatory proceedings, tariffs, incentive programs, market structures, trends, and commodity prices, and summarize findings into clear, digestible content. + Monitor and utilize industry data, regulatory filings, trade publications, networking, and innovative approaches to generate fresh insights. + Create and present customized analyses and summaries in response to client requests and to support new product development initiatives. + Engage with external stakeholders, including industry experts and organizations, to enhance the CBRE Energy and Renewable team’s network and influence. + Contribute to strategic initiatives that promote renewable energy solutions. + Support the development of new products and offerings related to energy and renewables. What You’ll Need: + Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. + 5+ years of experience in journalism or research. + Experience with the energy or renewables industries. + Strong understanding of energy market fundamentals. + High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Energy & Renewables Director - Research Lead position is $200,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Energy & Renewables Director - Research Lead position is $220,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
