The Role

To lead the Philippines-UK Research Team in the research of construction projects, placing a focus on staff performance, and quality and quantity of construction leads created by the team. To take leadership of the planned expansion & subsequent training of the Philippines team.

Job Responsibilities:

Daily Research Responsibilities

Maintain and oversee the data coming through from web harvesters & scrapers Report any issues to relevant stakeholders Oversee the team responsible for tidying up data after it has been scraped from the harvesters Ensure data is cleansed within the appropriate turnaround time Ensure adequate coverage of projects assigned to the Department Update and ensure ongoing validity and quality of leads & projects through the system Database management Handle inbound client inquiries within given time frames Ability to explain BCI/Glenigan to contacts within the industry when questioned Other ad hoc Special Projects as required Uphold BCI’s company philosophies & corporate mission Maintain individual Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) responsibilities at all times

Research Manager Responsibilities

Ensure the Department delivers high-quality standards with timely and accurate information Management of the department team leaders Ensure minimum standard performance is achieved by the department in set attributes Thorough oversight and involvement with PH and US managers and staff Create monthly/quarterly research development projects for the Philippine UK Team Collate scores and incentives for the department Interview & Train candidates as needed Liaises with UK Research Managers, and directly reports to the Director of Research Ad hoc research management support as needed

Focus on Culture

Motivation of staff (individual and team) Initiate & facilitate Team Leader Development Program Implementation of BCI Culture and expected behaviors within the Philippines-UK Research department Leading by example (professional behaviors, performance levels, punctuality, presentation, communication, etc) First-level feedback to the staff (one-on-one, team, and involved in performance appraisals) Ensure open communication amongst teams in appropriate forums Ensure open communication between Research and all other departments

Focus on Performance Management

Facilitating Team meetings and one-on-one meetings to ensure quality and direction of Research (Setting daily targets for each researcher, reviewing activity weekly, discussing specific aspects of weekly performance and improvement areas if needed) Targeted mentoring of staff Allocation of work on a day-to-day basis (as required in response to market requirements) Monitoring the workflow & quality on a day-to-day basis of the researcher Co-ordinate client inquiries as required Interviewing & training of new staff using a pre-defined program
