The Faculty of Arts and Sciences are the largest academic unit at Rutgers–Camden, delivering a wide array of degree programs at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and fine arts. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences includes three schools: the College of Arts and Sciences, University College, and the Graduate School. Posting Summary The Center for Urban Research and Education (CURE) is seeking a Research Manager (part-time/temporary) for the administration, research and evaluation of the afterschool youth organizing project funded by the Rowan University-Rutgers Camden Board of Governors. This position will work primarily with the department administrator and project co-PIs but will also directly interact with community partners and consultants during program delivery.Key duties are:

Provides professional management of assigned duties and assures that the project proceeds as planned. Communicates and collaborates with numerous individuals to maintain involvement in all facets of the project; may be accountable for major project implementation decisions, process design, and participant satisfaction. Demonstrates leadership role in forming and maintaining productive working relationships. May provide instruction to staff, consultants, and volunteers in the implementation of the strategy of CURE. Develops procedures and plans for research project execution and is responsible for ensuring that all external inquiries are effectively resolved. May be recognized as a subject matter expert and acts as a consultant to faculty or staff.

This is a grant funded position that will initially be active for a period of 12 months and may be extended contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.

Position Status Part Time Hours Per Week Up to 20 hours per week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. FLSA Nonexempt Position Salary Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.
