As a part of this initiative, further research will be emphasized in five major core programs. Based on the strengths and expertise of the life sciences faculty, these programs include: Brain Disorders, Cancer Genomics, Computational Genetics, Reproductive Genetics, and Stem Cells. Each program is headed by a leading expert in the area of concentration.

The mission of the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey (HGINJ) is to operate a world-renowned institute of excellence in human and medical genetics, to collaborate with and enhance research and training programs in the life sciences of Rutgers, and to facilitate scientific relationships with the private sector. HGINJ is comprised of prominent research scientists with specialties encompassing a broad range of topics. Areas of concentration currently include the following core programs: Brain Disorders, Cancer Genomics, Computational Genetics, Reproductive Genetics, and Stem Cells. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Manager for the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey. This position will provide management of research studies, including preparation of records and reports for upper management review, scheduling meetings, organizing and maintaining comprehensive study documents, tracking project tasks, creating study newsletters, responding to study inquiries, engaging with recruitment partners.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Develops and maintains effective relationships with various institutions to keep the research efforts thriving. Works independently to coordinate, administer, and coordinate our research projects with the planning, preparation, evaluation, and control of communications, events, records, reports, and documents. Leads the development and implementation of processes to identify and recruit new program resources. Evaluates program effectiveness and ensure accuracy of deliverables. Arranges on-site evaluations of our research projects by our funder. Assess and track service levels and progress toward our goals and make recommendations as appropriate. Oversees the response to study inquiries and create newsletters with research updates.
