Job Overview:

The Research Nurse is responsible for coordination of all clinical aspects for an assigned group of clinical research trial patients/participants as well as overseeing submission of data required.

Required:

ASN or Nursing Diploma (Must agree to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date)Current NJ RN LicenseAHA BLSKnowledge of Microsoft Word/Internet

Preferred:

Oncology Certification

Days - 40 hours a week

Job Duties:

Coordination of all clinical aspects for an assigned group of clinical research trial patients/participants as well as overseeing submission of data requiredIs responsible for research charge reconciliation Administer patient/participant information questionnaires (i.e. quality of life, pain and oral medication) as required by research trialAssists in answering data queriesCollaborates with pharmacy to anticipate and maintain investigational drug inventory for registered patients/participantsEnsure protocol compliance by creating treatment calendars for patients, physicians, and treating department (i.e. outpatient or radiation therapy): assisting in scheduling of proper test and follow-upMonitors test results and assists physician in dose modification or other treatment change as required by protocolPerform protocol-specific clinical tasks including patient assessment, screening, ordering tests, collecting specimen, and monitoring responses
