Research Program Coordinator

The Johns Hopkins University Precision Medicine Center of Excellence on Mood Disorders is seeking a **_Research Program Coordinator_** to help to manage and conduct research. The RPC will take a lead role in coordinating a new study to develop and test new tools for evaluating the performance of medical chatbots powered by large-language models in delivering safe and effective medical advice on mental health and related conditions to relevant stakeholders. The RPC will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, epidemiologists, and computer science engineers, and will interact with collaborative investigators across the university and around the country.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ The Research Program Coordinator will be responsible for helping to develop, manage and implement research study protocols.
+ Assist in overseeing and maintaining institutional and federal regulatory compliance, including preparing IRB applications, annual IRB continuing reviews, changes in research, protocol amendments and events reports according to institutional and federal policies.
+ Maintain regulatory binders for research protocols and ensure that case files and accompanying paperwork are organized and current.
+ Recruit and consent participants from the Johns Hopkins Health System and the surrounding community into on-going studies.
+ Develop data collection forms and set up research databases with REDCap and other database platforms.
+ Coordinate the collection of study data.
+ Monitor and perform regular data quality checks to ensure the integrity of data collection.
+ Work closely with collaborators to oversee the conduct of multi-site studies.
+ Coordinate and lead study team meetings.
+ Contribute to data analysis and help report study findings as needed.
+ Adhere to guidelines regarding the sensitivity and confidential nature of patient information, including HIPAA regulations.

+ Must have strong communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and clinical sensitivity.
+ Must have the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and make independent decisions about the direction of projects.
+ Must be able to work as part of a team, take initiative, and have strong leadership and teaching skills.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period of time.
+ Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
+ Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s), or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
+ Communication skills using the spoken word.
+ Ability to see within normal parameters.
+ Ability to hear within normal range.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Some related experience.
+ Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Science, or other related disciplines.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($38,920 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
