The Research Program Manager will be responsible for supervision of assigned Departmental staff, and management of the operational activities for the Department of OBGYN research program. The role includes research administration and collaboration with Departmental leadership regarding strategic planning. The role also participates in discussions regarding development of the clinical trial portfolio, non-clinical trial research portfolio, and operational considerations regarding study implementation and conduct. This includes advising on project feasibility analysis to identify project risks and recommend strategies for project development, oversight of the IRB/PRC process, regulatory requirements, study implementation, and project timeline adherence. The compensation for this position may range from $95,000 - $115,000 based upon education, training and experience.
Collaborate with Department leadership including the Department Administrator, Vice-Chair of Research, Division Director(s), and Education Program Directors (Residency/Fellowship) to develop and present research proposals, initiating projects and report out efforts.Provide support for research related Department goals as outlined in the Department Annual Review.Oversight of scientific, technical, operational, and administrative functions, including IIT project development, project management, regulatory support, implementation, oversight, IRB and data analysisDirects the development of and participates in development of quality assurance policies and performance metrics including performance improvement markers, and standardized training program(s) with certifications for the study.Manages financial resources of assigned studies. Manages systems and processes designed to ensure successful revenue collection, invoicing and reimbursement accounting.Represents the trial to study committees, partners, corporate / industry partners, regulatory and oversight agencies and the public as necessary.Actively promotes the role of research within the organization, other institutions and committees.Serves as the supervisor of all assigned departmental staff including Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Administrative support, and other team members as assigned.Participates in recruitment of new research staff in the Department.Develops standards for training, supervising, and evaluating employees that also meet organization standards. Identifies the need for continuing education programs for staff and develops programs. Provides mentorship to members of the research team including Leads and Research Administration staff.Maintain dashboard of key metrics related to the research enterpriseAs required, provide CRC level support on complex clinical trial studies to ensure theseRequired Education and Credentials:
Non-licensed must possess a Bachelor's degree in related field, and licensed managers must have at least an Associate's degree. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree
Preferred Credentials
Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and/or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is preferred
Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) is preferred.
Certification in Project Management is preferred.
Demonstrated familiarity with Workday HR/Finance, OnCore, Payroll Confirmation System (PACS)
