Research Programs Coordinator (aHEO) **POSITION DETAILS** Reporting to the Dean of the Calandra Institute, the Research Programs Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: • Work on various research projects by assisting staff, faculty and researchers with project/research needs, as well as internal grant submissions; • Perform administrative and research support responsibilities in support of the programs; • Research, identify, and write grants for specific projects for the Institute, as well as write grants targeting the Italian American community; • Assist in preparing manuscripts for publications; • Prepare data tables, charts, and graphs; assist with administering surveys and summarizing results; • Assist with the preparation of study reports, publications, and presentations; respond to data requests; • Assist in preparing complex reports, grant proposals, and PowerPoint presentations • Proofread, edit, and format scientific articles, grant applications, reports, policy briefs and book chapters. • Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite • Proficiency in data charts, graphs and tables • Spoken and written fluency in Italian and knowledge of the Italian American Community • Aptitude for problem-solving • Excellent verbal, writing, and analytical ability **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Assists with the administration of College research programs and coordinates research facilities. - Works with faculty and others to prepare, set-up, and monitor budgets for research project expenditures, including new faculty start-ups and funds for facilities - Collects information for, and prepares fiscal and program reports on research projects - May assist with preparing grant proposals and providing information to funding sources. - Assists with space planning for research efforts - Works with Environmental Health and Safety personnel on planning, monitoring, and compliance - Maintains databases and other systems that collect information regarding College research activities - Schedules, coordinates and prepares materials for meetings. - Coordinates with other offices to prepare agendas and reports.
