The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a **Research Project Manager** supporting our National Center office that is located in Dallas, TX. This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on **June 30, 2028,** with the possibility of extension. **This role can be home based.**
The Quality & Registry **Research Project Manager** is responsible for assisting to direct the Quality Research teams' needs. The resources will manage the creation, development and maintenance of policies and procedures associated with the Quality research strategy, including the tracking, and developing reports to communicate status of research publication activity for some Quality programs and directly manage assigned projects; support team members on project management, directly manage the active author group publication needs and support volunteer/stakeholder needs. The Quality & Registry Research Project Manager will also be responsible for special or "ad hoc" projects, as needed.

**Responsibilities**
+ Manages research publication activity for some Quality programs by creating, developing, and routinely updating policies and procedures associated with the Quality research strategy; facilitating the implementation of proposal central, project management responsibilities associated with facilitating submitted research proposals, committee review, acceptance, status of analyses, author activity, abstract drafts, and manuscript drafts; including the Association’s committee review prior to submission for consideration (conference and/or journal); continually gather information from various sources to monitor and update processes to keep current with specific program structures, and train volunteer leadership based on process revisions to adhere to publication strategy.
+ Develop metrics and KPIs to track department and research manuscript measures of success.
+ Assist and lead data bootcamps related with GWTG, including content and agenda preparation, scheduling, and administration tasks.
+ Operations tasks for Data Science related to GWTG and the Association’s Strategic projects including the percent allocation for the data science team to understand capacity, time it is taking for projects, planning, etc.
+ Assist with operations tasks for Data Science including but not limited to data challenges and vendor management.
+ Evaluate department performance and effectiveness through the identification of shortcomings and plan for ways to fix similar issues in the future.
+ Work to process the Association’s invoices, contracts, requisitions, and expenses as required.
+ Strategically coordinate with new areas of research/projects to ensure processes are streamlined and following required procedures.
+ Assist with research conference planning activities and execution as needed.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree.
+ Two (2) – Five (5) years’ of relevant experience.
+ Microsoft software experience required.
+ Smartsheet experience is a plus.
+ Three (3) years of Project Management in a healthcare or related field.
+ Effectively communicate with volunteers, stakeholders, and staff.
+ Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple complex projects at different phases.
+ Ability to manage a variety of project teams, including project teams comprised of internal employees, vendors, consultants, and combinations thereof.
+ Good time management skills as they relate to situations that have competing priorities.
+ Familiarity with data management including interpreting, comprehending, and summarizing data.
+ Willingness to take initiative to problem-solve and anticipate future needs.
+ Strong attention to detail.
**Compensation & Benefits**
The expected pay range will be $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
