Begin your journey of a flourishing and meaningful career, share your resume with us today!** **Your Main Objective:** + Provide project management and coordination for intramural human use research, working with PIs to coordinate research activities and needs of study project teams of 6 to 12 researchers to ensure accomplishment of protocol requirements. + Write research project status reports for sponsors- identify report requirements, gather input, and complete the initial draft for submission to the project PI. + Coordinate laboratory schedules of all study team members to ensure accomplishment of research efforts, including on-site, off-site, and out-of-state labs, to ensure that the study team calendar is up to date so each project can be accomplished as necessary. + Laboratory management- Initiates Equipment Purchase Orders and Inventory Control. Manage supply inventory and stock replenishment through established Command supply procedures; Review supply needs, coordinate with team members to identify requested supplies; document inventory status and location, review for completion, and meet with PIs to locate missing items and establish additional inventory needs. + Oversee the maintenance and set up of instrumentation, equipment, and laboratories. + Team management- Assisting and Directing Lower-Level RAs—Provide technical direction to lower-level Research Assistants. Assist and educate lower-level research assistant personnel in the understanding and performance of their duties. + Coordinate subject compensation for research participation. + Make self-directed decisions regarding data collection. Redirecting study participants, stop or start the study due to safety, participant deviation from protocol. Manage scheduling and screening of research subjects. Manage the implementation of research studies, including regulatory requirements, maintenance of files/study records, and all activities associated with internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with rules and regulations, including human subjects and/or animal use research approval. + Evaluate and make recommendations on data collected- Independently prepare data and conduct qualitative and quantitative data analyses of data from studies, such as univariate and multivariate analyses of variance, regression analysis, and descriptive summaries. Design and develop data management procedures. + Recommendations for study design- Modify and plan research experiments, procedures, tests, or survey instruments; Recommend research design and develop a study budget. Assist in the preparation of presentations and written published articles. **What Sets You Apart:** + BA/BS plus four (4) years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree + Strong research experience + Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. + US Citizenship is required **You Might Also Have:** + Experience in a military or medical research environment is highly desired. + Experience with human subject research. + Familiarity with cognitive psychology and/or vestibular physiology. + Experience in STEM field of research. **At Leidos, the opportunities are boundless.
