Job Description§ Research and pre-development of PEM fuel cell stack technology and/or electrolyzer technology in close collaboration with international teams
§ Focus is on developing new product concept with differentiating properties and unique selling points.
§ Scouting, identifying, benchmarking and tracking of new trends and emerging technologies in China, derive impacts on company research strategy and identify key partners.
§ Establish relationship with university professors, industrial companies and experts.
§ Specialty PEM fuel cell and/or electrolyzer technology:
§ Design fuel cell stack / electrolyzer concepts in cooperation with suppliers of key materials and components.
§ Evaluation performance and key components by experiment.
§ Identifying failure mechanism and cause-effect relationship
§ Improve performance with new design or applying of new materials, components.
Qualifications
§ PhD degree in material science, chemistry, or polymer science with strong knowledge of organic chemistry or polymer science.
§ At least 3-year experience in the field of Fuel Cells, electrolysis or other electrochemical systems
§ Ability to design work packages and develop innovative concepts or solutions for scientific questions.
§ Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written)
§ Initiative and ability to lead research projects
§ Efficient, result-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
§ Strong team player and passion for innovation
