Research Scientist 1 Job Responsibilities:

Researches, develops and employs appropriate data collection and methodology to maximize collection efficiency and minimize collection bias within specific project timelines. Develops investigator-initiated protocols for the conduct of research investigations, independently or in collaboration with other investigators, to support the goals of the department according to project objectives.  Collaborates with other investigators in the design/development of adequate data collection and management systems to affect desired study outcomes. Performs, interprets and reviews all tests done in section according to standard operating procedures and policies (SOPP) by using scientific knowledge of the principles of test procedures and disease processes.

Additional Requirements:

Work schedule: (Monday – Friday, various shift.) Education: Bachelors Degree in Science or relevant field of study.  Experience: Two (2) years of experience in common genomic and proteomic techniques such as high throughput assays such as microarrays, qPCR, ELISA, Bio-Plex, etc. Demonstrated acuity with statistical and analytical skills necessary to assess data produced by the above techniques.
