GovCIO is currently hiring for a Research Scientist. This position will be located in Rome,NY and will an onsite position.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Principal Investigator and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute experiments and research studies focused on ISR systems. Develop and apply advanced modeling, simulation, and data analysis techniques to support research objectives. Contribute to the innovation and optimization of sensor technologies, signal processing algorithms, data fusion methods, or autonomous systems relevant to ISR applications. Assist in the management and coordination of research projects by ensuring experimental designs and protocols are properly implemented. Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data to validate research hypotheses and inform project direction. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal review and external dissemination, including conferences and peer-reviewed journals
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including engineers, computer scientists, and military liaisons to integrate research findings into ISR systems.Participate in regular project meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on research outcomes.Monitor emerging trends and advancements in ISR technologies and related fields; recommend new approaches and tools to enhance research efforts.Contribute to the development of proposals and grant applications to secure additional research funding and resourcesAdhere to all relevant federal regulations, security protocols, and ethical guidelines in conducting research.Ensure that all experimental setups and data collection processes meet established quality assurance standards Qualifications PhD with 5+ years, Medical Degree (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral research or industry experience in a related field, with a strong record of technical contributions.Demonstrated experience in executing complex research projects, preferably with exposure to ISR or defense-related research.A proven track record of publishing in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presenting at industry conferences.Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and simulation tools commonly used in ISR research.Strong programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++) and familiarity with data analysis software.Experience with sensor technologies, signal processing, machine learning, or related areas is highly desirable.Clearance Required: Secret (with ability to obtain TS/SCI)****pending contract award****

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
