The largest device company in the world – with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care. **Job title** : Research Scientist I **Location** : Johns Creek, GA **Duration** : 6 months (Possible extension or conversion) **Pay:** 30.00-36.71 DOE + Conduct rearch and experiments for academic, industrial or commercial ends and help develop new products. + Lead the formulation, development, and optimization of new programs, designs, and prototypes. + Participate in research formulating and writing with other staff. + Assess new technologies and future applications of technologies. + Propose, plan, and manage research projects, report preparation, and presentation of findings. + Apply for grants to continue their research + Mentor, train and/or coach junior research scientists **Education:** • Bachelors degree or higher in a scientific discipline with adequate experience (MS with 0-2 yrs; BS with 0-4 yrs). **Experience:** • Background in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical engineering, process engineering • Formulation and process experience with hydrogel and contact lens care are desired • Write reports and communicate well to internal customers This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
