Job Title Research Student Assistant Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Research Department Evidence Center Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Fort Worth, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Job Description Summary: The Research Student Assistant will provide support to the Texas A&M AgriLife Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Evidence Center. The Research Student Assistant will work on special projects as assigned. Job Description Responsibilities: + Ability to read and understand scientific literature, including being able to identify study characteristics such as populations, interventions/exposures, comparators, and outcomes + Knowledge of different types of study designs and ability to identify study designs + Screen studies for evidence reviews by comparing literature to a set of inclusion/exclusion criteria + Up to 20 hours per week; workload will fluctuate on weekly basis Requirements: + Experience with nutrition research or a related field (e.g., public health, epidemiology) + Experience with data analysis and interpretation + Computer access Preferred Requirements: + Graduate student currently enrolled in a nutrition graduate program or a graduate program in a related field Knowledge, Skills and Ability: + Ability to understand scientific literature related to nutrition and health + Strong communication skills, both written and oral + Ability for critical thinking + Attention to detail + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team All positions are security-sensitive.
