The laboratory technician will perform a variety of laboratory experiments and some analysis of human and mouse samples to support the goals of the Aird lab. They will also support ordering and lab organization

Job Duties Include:

Performs a variety of laboratory experiments such as cell culture, molecular techniques, histology, and flow.Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions.Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books. Organizes and documents results.Assists with ordering proper supplies and chemicals.

Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.

The ability to stand for long periods of time to perform basic lab experiments from start to finish. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and effectively communicate results and issues.
