The research technician will take part in organizing and coordinating research teams and clinical team. The candidate will work in a highly multidisciplinary environment providing the PIs with research team support ongoing clinical trials and for several projects within the lab. The Research Technician will work under the direction of Drs. Neves and Shaverdashvili. This person is expected to be both patient-facing and wet-lab orientated.

Perform ID StudiesDevelop methods for patient recruitmentIdentify, screen, and consent patientsCollection of dietary dataGenerate FMT infusates for mouse experimentsPerform experiments including ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, DNA/RNA extractionCoordinate with internal and external collaboratorsPerform experiments in mouse tumor models with human stool collectedCollect and analyze data
Participate in the creation and maintenance of a database to log samples (stool, blood, tumor etc) banked under the dietary intervention clinical trial· Participate in periodic transferring data in REDCap database and OnCore
Assist in the preparation of reports and manuscripts for publication as co-author.The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in research lab and clinical trials. Must be proficient in collection of data and specimens, work independently, and possess analytical skills to determine eligibility of potential cases and control research subjects for accurate recruitment and reporting. The applicant must attend weekly team meetings to report progress.
Assists with and/or conducts laboratory experiments and routine tests and scientific tasks. Performs data and specimen collection and processing as well as equipment maintenance and set up. Ensures adherence to all established protocols and regulatory practices.
