The Johns Hopkins University Department of Neuroscience is seeking a casual **_Research Technologist_** to perform laboratory tasks, complete complex and routine assays following established protocols and procedures. Works under the general supervision of a faculty investigator and other laboratory members: **Specific Duties and Responsibilities** + Responsible for performing experiments and analyses involving anatomical approaches to the regulation of neurogenesis and cell fate specification in developing brain. + Accountable for experiments and analyses involving histological analysis of glia-to-neuron reprogramming. + Supervise ordering materials and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures. + Ensure compliance with good mouse colony management practice. + Expected that general laboratory maintenance will involve no more than 25% of this position, the rest being devoted to experimental activities. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. **Preferred Qualifications** + One year’s wet lab experience in molecular neuroscience or related field. + Some related post-undergraduate work experience.
