Research Technologist – Ross Lab

The Ted Ross Lab focuses on developing vaccines against cancer and respiratory viruses, including influenza, COVID, respiratory syncytial virus, as well as HIV and arboviruses. 

A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 5:00pm.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Participate in daily research project activities. 

Plan, organize, perform and monitor daily project protocols.  

Collect, prepare and maintain required research documentation, including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes and medical reports.  

Report and assist with managing protocol deviations, adverse events and other project-related issues.  

Be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the lab.  

Order and purchase supplies, gather information on new equipment and recommend purchases.  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

High school diploma or GED.  

Four years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment. 

An associate’s degree and three years of experience, a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a master’s degree and one year of experience may substitute the experience requirement.  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Bachelor’s degree with undergraduate lab experience.
