Innovative research and groundbreaking discoveries happen every day at Cleveland Clinic. The Department of Translational Hematology & Oncology Research conducts cancer research to develop and make available novel diagnostic tools, targeted therapies and clinical trials for direct use in patient care. This department's mission is to gain novel medical insights as a basis for developing diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies. The department, a collaboration between basic and translational researchers at Cleveland Clinic's Lerner Research Institute and clinical researchers at Taussig Cancer Center, engages clinical and academic trainees at various career stages to cultivate robust successions of translational scientists.
**A caregiver in this position works 9:00AM -5:30PM.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Participate in daily research project activities.
+ Plan, organize, perform and monitor daily project protocols.
+ Collect, prepare and maintain required research documentation, including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes and medical reports.
+ Report and assist with managing protocol deviations, adverse events and other project-related issues.
+ Be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the lab.
+ Order and purchase supplies, gather information on new equipment and recommend purchases.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Four years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment OR an associate's degree and three years of experience OR a bachelor's degree and two years of experience OR a master's degree and one year of experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's degree with undergraduate lab experience.

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
+ Ability to distinguish color
+ Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment
+ Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
+ May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.
