W Sydney is now casting for a dynamic and detail-oriented Reservation Agent to support the handling of hotel guestroom reservations within the hotel’s Consumer Operations Tribe.
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, this role drives revenue and increases market share across the segments of rooms, Beverage & Food, spa, and other revenue generating sources in line with W Hotels and Marriott International’s brand standards to become a hotel market leader in Sydney. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join W Sydney’s tribe and presents a fantastic stepping-stone into reservations and revenue management.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the hotel industry, is eager to build a career with W Hotels and Marriott International and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, email and social channels (or any other applicable platform).
+ Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.
+ Accommodate and document special requests.
+ Maintain guest history, update and ensure the latest information is retained in the record.
+ Be proficient in answering questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
+ Use sales techniques when assisting guests in making reservations, including personalising calls, obtaining complete guest needs, suggesting alternate dates or directing guests to sister Marriot International properties on sold out days.
+ Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
+ Promotion of Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
+ Maximise upselling opportunities where possible.
+ Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, personal, manages time well and builds a positive work environment.
**Talent Profile**
**Education & Experience Required**
+ Minimum one year experience in reservations/front office.
+ Knowledge of Opera PMS advantageous.
+ Possess excellent verbal and written communication and Microsoft Office skills, and a high attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational and interpersonal skills and prioritisation of tasks.
