A Reservations Agent will serve as the main contact for room reservations at the Hotel; and therefore, must offer an excellent service and influence the Guest decision to stay at the property.

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Reservation Agent, you will serve as the first line of inquiry for room reservations within the hotel. A Reservation Agent is responsible for offering excellent customer service, options, and other solutions to meet Guest and customer needs. Specifically, a Reservations Agent will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n

 

\n

Receives and processes incoming customer reservations.

\n\nGreets customer and finds out what their needs (dates, times, type of rooms, etc.).\nOffers alternative room types, rates and packages to the customer.\nRecords reservation information accurately; identifies and records group and transient book codes and special requests.\nIdentifies commissionable reservations and secures required information.\nRecords and processes deposit and billing information.\nFiles all reservations to facilitate easy referral.\nAnswers all reservations telephone calls and e-mails in a friendly manner, using clear English communication.  When processing e-mails or listening to callers, ensures a clear understanding of their inquiries and requests.\n \nMaximizes occupancy and average rate by offering a variety of rates and promotional packages and by helping to maintain accurate occupancy forecasts.\n\n\nUtilizes up sale techniques as appropriate.\n\nAdheres to rate control procedures based on availability and forecasted occupancy.\n\nInforms supervisor of potential sell out dates so rate restrictions can be adhered to.\n\nRecords requests for special accommodations and suites.\n\nAdvises Worldwide Reservation Services of rate and availability status.\n

A Reservations Agent serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

\n\nEducation: Secondary General Education (MAVO) or Secondary Vocational Education (EPI) or equivalent.\nYears of related experience: 0–3 years\nA passion for delivering great customer service.\nA highly professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.\nOutstanding administration and organizational skills.\nAdditional Language skills: Papiamento, Dutch and Spanish.\nProficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Hilton Software.\n
