Your Role

 

EF Torquay is looking for a responsible and energetic individual to join our Residence Team for summer 2025 as a Residence Coordinator. You’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and fun living environment for our international students while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This role provides a great opportunity for you to build your organisational and leadership skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. This is a live in position where accommodation and full board is provided at no extra cost. Roles run from June/July – August 2025 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Ensures the smooth running of the student residencesTo ensure the residences provide a comfortable, safe living environmentTo maintain EF policies, accreditation criteria and Golden RulesTo provide the highest level of customer service at all timesTo help maintain ‘one team’, where the different departments liaise and interact effectively and efficientlyAllocates new bookings to residential accommodationAssists customers with residence queries, ensuring prompt follow up and excellent customer serviceLiaises with external suppliers where cleaning/maintenance issues are reportedCompletes weekly occupancy statisticsEnsures allocation information sent to residence suppliers is accurate and on timePrepares arrival & departure documents and provides keys for all arrivalsFollows up any welfare and disciplinary issues together with the Residence Manager and ensures sanctions are applied in line with EF’s residence rules and regulationsAssists with the training and supervision of temporary staff/internsParticipates in student intakes and first week chatsShares emergency duty on a rota basis

 

 

Requirements

 

Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essentialFamiliar with Microsoft Office and CRMs (desirable)Highly motivated, energetic, positiveCustomer service orientated, friendly & approachable mannerAble to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situationsSensitive to needs of international students living away from homeExcellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clientsAttention to detail, organised & thoroughAll offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two referencesLegally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
