Your Role

 

EF Brighton is seeking a responsible and dynamic individual to join our Residence Team as a Residence Coordinator for the summer of 2025. In this role, you will play a key part in fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging living environment for our international students, while ensuring operational efficiency behind the scenes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your organizational and leadership skills within a collaborative, team-oriented setting. This role is on a full time, fixed term basis running throughout July & August 2025, with permanent job opportunities available at the end of summer. Accommodation provided.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Ensures the smooth running of the student residencesTo ensure the residences provide a comfortable, safe living environmentTo maintain EF policies, accreditation criteria and Golden RulesTo provide the highest level of customer service at all timesTo help maintain ‘one team’, where the different departments liaise and interact effectively and efficientlyAllocates new bookings to residential accommodationAssists customers with residence queries, ensuring prompt follow up and excellent customer serviceLiaises with external suppliers where cleaning/maintenance issues are reportedCompletes weekly occupancy statisticsEnsures allocation information sent to residence suppliers is accurate and on timePrepares arrival & departure documents and provides keys for all arrivalsFollows up any welfare and disciplinary issues together with the Residence Manager and ensures sanctions are applied in line with EF’s residence rules and regulationsAssists with the training and supervision of temporary staff/internsParticipates in student intakes and first week chatsShares emergency duty on a rota basis

 

 

Requirements

 

Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essentialFamiliar with Microsoft Office and CRMs (desirable)Highly motivated, energetic and positiveComfortable around teens and young adultsCustomer service orientated, friendly & approachable mannerAble to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situationsSensitive to needs of international students living away from homeExcellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clientsAttention to detail, organised & thoroughAll offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two referencesLegally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
