Posting Summary Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator. The Residence Life Coordinator position is a full-time, live-in 12-month, professional position within the Office of Housing & Residence Life serving 800 students. The Program Coordinator directly oversees a team of student workers that staff the welcome desk within the residence halls. The student workers are responsible for handling an array of functions that help to provide security for the residence halls such as checking IDs, screening visitors for building entry, assisting students that are locked out of their room, answering the department email and phone, etc. The Residence Life Coordinator will work closely with and report to the Manager for Residence Life to ensure that the necessary programs, events, community building initiatives, and other residence hall education and development are in place for the population of students living in the community and will work closely with the administrative team to facilitate summer, winter, and in-service training for the student staff of the department. During the summer months, the Residence Life Coordinator will serve as the coordinator for our guest and conference services operation within the department. This position participates in an after-hours crisis response duty rotation schedule. The Program Coordinator will be assigned a functional focus designation based upon the needs of the department. FLSA Exempt Grade 04 Position Salary Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.
