Resident Advocate/SSW Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738 Job Summary

The Resident Advocate/SSW will be responsible for providing support and advocacy for residents of the Southern Utah Veterans Home. They will work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure that the needs of the residents are met and that they are receiving the highest quality of care possible.

Key Responsibilities Provide support and advocacy for residents of the Southern Utah Veterans Home Work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure that the needs of the residents are met Assist with the development and implementation of care plans for residents Provide counseling and support to residents and their families Assist with the coordination of services and resources for residents Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and progress Document all interactions with residents and their families in a timely and accurate manner Ensure that all resident rights are respected and upheld Provide education and training to staff on resident advocacy and support Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work or related field Current licensure as a Social Service Worker (SSW) in the state of Utah Experience working with elderly or disabled populations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
