Full-Time, Days

Salary starting at $73,500


Then Resident Care Manager will provide overall supervision & training of the RCA & nursing program to ensure DOH regulations are followed, and resident quality care is provided.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Observation and evaluation of the medical/clinical, physical, emotional and cognitive needs of the residents. Supervise the delivery of services by RCA team.Evaluate performance of all RCA team members & LPN Clinical Associate.Interview all applicants & make recommendations regarding hiring following ESLC policies.Develop progressive disciplinary action as needed and keep appropriate documentation HR policy.Complete RCA & Nursing schedule & monitor and review staffing coverage.Process weekly payroll.Offer staff development through education and coaching to enhance staff performance.Supervise RCAs to ensure medication management per MD order.Ensure RCAs follow eMAR instructions in accordance with ESLC policy & DOH regulations.Conduct in-service training for team members.Update policies and procedures in conjunction with clinical manager.Communication with clinical manager r/t RCA status & development.Communication with care coordinator any team issues.Notification of changes to the medical provider and resident representative as needed.Assist clinical manager with transcription of medical provider orders to the EMR ensuring implementation and appropriate documentation per NYS DOH regulations and ESLC Assisted Living Policies as needed.Review all 3122s to ensure accuracy as neededRecommend admission status for potential applicants.Complete admission functional assessment in case manager’s absence.Communicate resident changes and functional needs to team members with updates to the eRecord.Ensure ADLs are completed by RCAs per eRecordAssign RCA duties, tasks and other responsibilities as necessary.Active participant of the Interdisciplinary TeamCollaboration with team members at Ashley Woods & within ESLC.Attend meetings.Participate in facility safety and quality assurance processes.Maintain all resident nursing records as requiredAbility to perform the job responsibilities of the RCAs as needed.Maintain medical/clinical documentation and resident records as required.Assigned on-call duty on a rotational basis to meet the Nursing Department needs.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Good nursing assessment skills. Supportive team approach to working with other staff. Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public. Display core values of ESLC.

EDUCATION:

Current New York State license and registration as a licensed practical nurse.

EXPERIENCE: 

Five years’ experience with older adults.
