About being our Resident Engineer\n

Psomas is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our Seattle-based Construction Services team. In this role, you will lead public works infrastructure projects with a focus on collaboration and innovative problem-solving. You'll manage day-to-day project oversight, resolve challenges proactively, and ensure contract compliance. This position also calls for versatility, including supporting construction inspection, documentation, and other tasks with independence and precision.\n

Responsibility Highlights for our Resident Engineer\n\nServe as the primary liaison among the Contractor, Agency, and stakeholders, including utilities, emergency services, transit agencies, school districts, and the public\nEnsure compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements throughout project execution\nTrack and manage potential change orders, assessing impacts on cost and schedule\nReview and approve submittals, such as materials, traffic control plans, and construction methods\nEvaluate project schedules during preconstruction and oversee progress to meet milestones and minimize delays\nLead and document regular meetings with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and address issues proactively\n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Resident Engineer\n\n5+ years of relative experience\nValid Driver License and clean driving record\nAbility to work in an active construction site, including walking over uneven terrain, being outdoors in inclement weather, and wearing proper safety equipment and practicing industry safety protocols\nFamiliarity with WSDOT Standard Specifications and WSDOT Standard Plans, including ADA requirements\n\n

Preferred Qualifications for our Resident Engineer\n\nBachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field\nProfessional Engineering license \n10+ years of construction experience related to roadway\/ infrastructure work\n\n

The genuinely expected range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000\/year depending on experience
