Resident Engineer - O&M Parks and Landscaping Works

Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing the O&M contracts for parks across the six cities in the Al Dhafra Region.

What You'll Be Doing:

Oversee the O&M contracts for parks in the Al Dhafra Region, ensuring the application of best practices to achieve operational goals.Manage and monitor contract timelines, budgets, and staffing, while providing guidance to contractors and staff.Communicate with architects and engineers, incorporating their insights into project drawings.Ensure final designs comply with Emirate regulations and approved manuals.Identify and document changes in project scope.Identify and communicate potential design issues to the team.Determine the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract, and monitor progress.Review work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures, and ensure quality is acceptable.Conduct performance evaluations and take corrective actions as necessary.Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project.Ensure client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.Expedite the distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Managers.Prepare technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activities for the client and project management.Obtain, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to project disciplines.Notify project management and other affected personnel of all changes.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

     

B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (Civil or Agriculture)

Minimum of 15 years of practical O&M experience, and at least 12 years of experience as a landscape Resident Engineer or in a related field.

Broad general engineering background and experience in landscaping project engineering.Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction processes, as well as industry practices.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity on a project.Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.
