Resident Site Engineer at Loviisa, Finland 

 

We are expanding our presence in Finland

The Finnish nuclear sector is a growing market and Westinghouse needs to be present where there is growth. Therefor, we are hiring a resident site engineer to be positioned at Loviisa. This Engineer will be part of our EMEA VVER Engineering department. The department is involved in all types of Engineering relevant to the Nuclear Island of a VVER Reactor.
 

Your contribution for a carbon-free future

The position is based at Loviisa - normally at least 60% site presence each week with the possibility to work part time from home. The position is not limited to a specific field of Engineering, but it will include coordinating engineering work carried out from various Westinghouse locations. Thus, establishing good communication between the technical departments at Loviisa and the respective Westinghouse engineering teams is essential.

The activities will be primarily around the life-time extension program of Loviisa. Networking within the Loviisa organization to facilitate execution of ongoing projects as well as identifying business opportunities is a key part of the role.

Qualifications 
 

You have a good understanding of plant operation and licensing including knowledge in YVL regulatory guidelines. Possible fields of engineering skills include, but is not limited to, reactor safety, Nuclear systems engineering, reactor internals and safety analysis. You have at least a B.Sc. Engineering.

You are fluent in Finnish and English. You have good interpersonal skills and can establish contacts within Loviisa engineering organization.
